Vieques Beachfront vacation rental

Welcome to Ababor Suites, apartment rentals located at Playa Bastimento in Vieques Island. The apartments are blessed with a sandy, shallow and protected beach that extends undeveloped at both sides of Ababor Suites. Next to us is the Fish and Wildlife Natural Reserve. The suites are a retreat into your Caribbean beachfront escape. Your quiet beach exploration vacation is waiting for you at Bastimento Beach on the northern coastline of Vieques.

Listen to the waves or the sounds of the palm or bamboo trees swaying with the wind. Rest on the hammock on your private balcony or in the gazebo. Watch the waves or the local fishing boats go by. Observe the wild horses pass by. Unwind on your beach chair while the tropical waters bathe your feet. Explore in the provided kayaks or floating boards. At night, enjoy watching as many stars as you have probably never seen before.

Relax with 24 hours security and emergency service provided by the live-in owner, who can also help you with ferry tickets, contacting taxis, car rentals, and advice. Peace of mind of our guests is our goal.

The Suites are located near Downtown Isabel II, just 5 minutes drive or 35-40 min walk from the harbor at Punta Mulas, the historical museum at Fort Conde de Mirasol, many fine restaurants, small grocery stores and a supermarket. Far enough for solitude and close enough for convenience.

Beach at Ababor Suites

The beach at Ababor is perfect for relaxation and exploration. It is a shallow natural wading pool with a line of reef outside that extends for half a mile or more. Expert snorkelers and novice snorkelers will love it here. There is a half hour walk of undeveloped beaches waiting for you to explore. Then there is the natural reserve of Fish and Wildlife.

The name comes from the Spanish phrase "a babor". "A babor" is what a captain would say commanding his sailor to go to the port (left) side of the ship.
