Laced by towering coconut palms and cooled by shady almond trees, La Casita del Amor is truly only a few steps from the surf. No other house on Vieques enjoys the unique intimacy that La Casita shares with the ocean.

The large oceanside patio is right on the ocean. The house sits on a small point, and during some months you can enjoy both the sunrise in the morning and truly spectacular sunsets when the western sky explodes with brilliance, as the sun drops behind the towering clouds surrounding El Yunque, the rainforest mountain peak on the nearby main island of Puerto Rico. 

Spend your day lazing in the warm tropical sun, or beneath the shade of the roofed oceanside porch watching pelicans swooping down to catch fish on the fly. Tranquil breezes and awe-inspiring views grace every room.

La Casita del Amor comfortably accommodates four adults, with a king-size bed and a twin bed in the bedroom, plus a super-comfortable double futon in the living room. Each room has an adjustable overhead fan, but the breeze from the ocean keeps the house cool year-round. 

The house is fully equipped with all the appliances and conveniences you could want, including a fully-furnished kitchen with a brand new full-size refrigerator, a range, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, and most importantly, a blender. There is a full bath with a tub/shower and a brand new washer/dryer (so pack light). In fact, the only time you’ll really need to leave La Casita del Amor is to restock the pantry and replenish the rum.

Let your cares gently slip away on tiny Vieques, the complete getaway island. Free from casinos and with little in the way of "tourist" shopping or night spots, Vieques offers miles and miles of secluded beaches, fun and funky bars, good food, two charming museums, star-laden skies -- so clear you can actually see satellites, and one of the world’s last remaining bioluminescent bays (a dark night experience you will never forget.)
